ARLINGTON, VA – June 07, 2011 – The American Management Association (AMA), as part of its official launch of AMA Enterprise, announced that Sam Davis will serve as Vice President of Sales for AMA Enterprise Government Solutions, dedicated to providing the learning tools to enable government employees to impact changes in their organizations, and transform the performance of the organization. He has held various sales and marketing positions at AMA during the last 25 years, and has extensive experience with the government marketplace.

“While AMA is well-known for its public training workshops which help to transform talent one person at a time, AMA Enterprise leverages its vast resources to transform the performance of entire organizations,” said Sandi Edwards, Senior Vice President of AMA Enterprise. “Utilizing state of the art learning methods, AMA Enterprise provides customized training solutions to develop leaders and enhance workforce performance through experiential learning, customized training, assessments and classroom and virtual delivery. And our focus on providing unique solutions and approaches for the government marketplace will support these public servants’ efforts to impact changes in their organizations, to better support their mission in today’s changing environment.”

“We’re very pleased that Sam Davis, with his wealth of experience in the government space, will be dedicating more of his energies to this important customer for AMA Enterprise,” Edwards said. “Government organizations have unique challenges, particularly today, with shrinking budgets and increasing responsibilities. We anticipate that human capital development and training will reflect government’s changing priorities, taking into consideration changes in government operations such as the mandate around telework, Continuity of Operations requirements, challenges around the increase in retirements from public service, among other influencers. Development must incorporate varied methodologies and relevant content, and continually flex to support the agencies’ mission.”
