March 30, 2012, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. ALT Software, owned by venture capital firm Quorum Group of Companies, has merged with Three2N International as part of a go-to-market strategy that supports next-generation spatial data processing, analysis and display technologies. Three2N provides software solutions for large scale physical world data processing and visualization across the global security, oil and gas, civil engineering, and medical industries. ALT Software will retain its current mandate of supporting graphics enablement in high reliability embedded computing platforms, and will have the additional mandate of enabling the deployment of Three2N technologies into embedded computing devices.

“This partnership with Three2N provides exciting new opportunities for ALT to expand our markets by enabling high performance graphics in resource constrained devices in sectors we have not traditionally supported,” said Robert Atkinson, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at ALT Software. “ALT has become a leading provider of graphics drivers for real-time operating systems deployed in aerospace and defense platforms over the past 15 years and this will remain our core technology focus moving forward. We will continue to work closely with our hardware and real-time operating system partners to support high performance graphics on next generation high reliability embedded systems.”

Three2N will be managed by a new team of executives who have recently joined the company. Grant Wagner will act as CEO, with Gareth Evans managing day to day operations of Three2N as COO. Both Wagner and Evans have extensive global experience in leading software companies through explosive growth while maintaining profitability and strict governance. Mr. Wagner is based out of the Washington, DC area and brings a deep level of understanding in sales and marketing to the U.S. federal government as well as U.S. based commercial markets and potential partnerships. Mr. Evans has been with companies like EDS and HP in Asia and will be managing operations from the Three2N and ALT headquarters in Toronto. Robert Atkinson, ALT Software’s Vice-President of Sales & Marketing and Simon Wong, CFO will oversee all ALT’s day to day operations.
