Ultra high-speed ADC on an FMC

When doing analog to digital conversion, high sample rates can be very critical. Adding the capability to the increasingly popular FMC form factor is even better. 4DSP announced the release of two new FMCs for high-speed data acquisition and generation. The FMC160 provides one 12-bit A/D channel at 3.6 Gsps and one 14-bit D/A channel at 5.6 Gsps. The FMC161 provides one 12-bit A/D channel at 3.6 Gsps or two A/D channels at 1.8 Gsps. The FMC160 and FMC161 are based on Texas Instruments’ ADC12D1800 Analog-to-Digital converter plus the FMC160 adds an Analog Devices’ AD9129 Digital-to-Analog converter. Both can be used in a conduction cooled environment.
