Sunnyvale, CA — PCI-SYSTEMS Inc. , a leading supplier of conduction cooled systems, today announced a new line of a rugged 12 channel conduction cooled PCIexpress Gen3 x8 lane switch, boosting 62Gbps per port

This rugged switch is perfect for industrial and military applications with a high speed reliable network. It delivers low latency and high performance real time applications such as simulation, test and measurement, high speed replication, and distributed video.

*Dolphins Berkeley sockets compliant SuperSockets software will provide significantly less latency that what is possible using TCP.

*We provide an easy to use shared memory environment (SISCI) that supports multicast ( if the hardware supports this ) as well as peer to peer transfers, GPU integration etc. Shared memory will enable ultra low latency between different processor boards.

*Soon a native MPI transport for PCIe is available- this will enable HPC applications to benefit directly from PCIe latencies.

*Also TCP/IP driver is available – I would not be surprised if any of the optimizations we have implemented actually gives better performance.

The “Mamba” type switch can be used for 28V, 48V and 110V/220V input ranges by just changing the wide input power supply modules. A input range of 8.5V to 37V covers basically 12V, 24V and 28V applications.

Of course the Mamba switch is designed to meet the intent of the following environmental specifications: (designed to meet intent of MIL-STD 810F)
