Titan 10GbE XMC from Galleon |
Galleon Embedded Computing, an innovative leader in development of high-performance, high-quality storage solutions, small rugged data recorder systems, servers and NAS devices announces its Titan Quad 10 Gigabit Ethernet XMC.
“This XMC was developed to compliment Galleon’s XSR family of rugged data recorder, server and NAS products which excel at meeting high performance requirements in severe environments. We also intend to support standalone sales into customer-integrated systems to meet the ever growing demand for high-volume data transport and capture,” states Terje Melsom, Galleon’s Chief Technology Officer. “Integration of this XMC will be seamless due to the use of Intel’s XL710 controller with initial driver offerings for Linux and Windows” adds Melsom.
The board is available in both air cooled and conduction cooled variants and is fitted with up to 4 rugged front panel 10GBASE-SR optical LC connectors, or recessed rugged optical LC connectors for easy in-box optical cabling in conduction cooled environments. The Titan Quad 10GbE XMC supports IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP), making it suitable for time critical applications. UDP, TCP and IP checksum offload.
