Montréal, Quebec / EmbVUE Inc., a leading developer and provider of embedded software and systems engineering services & certifiable network stack products, announced that it has teamed with LynuxWorks to offer EmbVUE’s certifiable A-Stack AFDX solutions for LynuxWorks’ LynxOS-178 Real Time Operating System.
“EmbVUE has already had good standalone success with our DO-178B certifiable A-Stack software-based AFDX product. We have ported A-Stack to a number of processor platforms already and we provide support for LynuxWorks’ LynxOS-178 Real Time Operating System today,” said Phil Cole, business development manager at EmbVUE Inc. “LynxOS-178 is key to a number of our customers and we recognize how important it is for us to have a really integrated software approach in our market. The objective of teaming with LynuxWorks in this area is to make it easy for our customers to leverage the power of LynxOS-178 in projects that require certifiable AFDX capabilities.”
EmbVUE’s A-Stack is an ARINC 664 subset network stack implemented in software that has been written from scratch and is fully certifiable under RTCA/DO-178B to Level A. A-Stack is able to support compliant, profiled and deterministic networks as well as providing AFDX support where that is required.
“Requirements to support a complete AFDX software-only solution have been on the increase recently. The AFDX offering from EmbVUE complements our Lynx Certifiable Stack offering which has been integrated with proprietary AFDX solutions,” said Joe Wlad, director of certification, services and marketing at LynuxWorks. “Now our customers have the option of using an efficient, open, portable and reusable solution for AFDX communication on integrated aircraft platforms.”
