TE Connectivity Ltd. (TE) (NYSE: TEL), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, announced today that more than 100 part numbers in its AMPLIMITE D-sub connector offering are available in six weeks or less. This milestone is the beginning of a lead-time reduction plan that would similarly reduce delivery times for all standard AMPLIMITE connectors by August 2016.

TE’s range of subminiature connectors conform to MIL-DTL-24308 as well as NASA non-magnetic specifications, and have become the industry standard in commercial and military applications. These connectors are ideal for harsh environments and offer a full range of contact densities, weight savings and EMI shielding. Typical applications include: military equipment, ground support devices, computer peripheral equipment and modems or industrial instrumentation.

“We reviewed the entire product portfolio to identify common components and or characteristics that when leveraged in our manufacturing process significantly reduces the lead-time,” said Kris Beaver, product manager, Global Aerospace, Defense & Marine, TE Connectivity. “We have implemented the improvements on a substantial portion of our portfolio and thoroughly improved our lead times and delivery performance.”

For more information on TE’s AMPLIMITE D-sub connectors, contact the Product Information Center at 1-800-522-6752 or visit the D-sub connectors product page.
