PMC remains the most popular mezzanine module standard used in the board-level COTS industry. Because of this continued popularity, Cornet Technology is seizing the opportunity to manufacture off-the-shelf PMC products which provide buyers with long-term availability guarantees as well as products responsive to customers specific design requirements and software support needs. The CPMC-722 and CPMC-DSCC are the first of the companys PMC offerings.

The CPMC-722 offers a variety of graphics display options for CRTs and LCDs. The boards 8 MB of internal SGRAM video memory improves the graphics controller performance by making the read/write process more efficient. It supports up to 1280 x 1024 x 24-bit color resolution which is ideal for viewing on 19” monitors. For those requiring advanced graphical display applications, the CPMC-722 comes with a 128-bit 2D/3D floating point rendering engine for enhanced precision display. Its Motion Compensation block feature enables full frame MPEG-1/DVD playback, and its 200 MHz RAMDAC improves the refresh rate of CRTs. The board comes with a device driver for the latest version of the Linux operating system. The CPMC-722 is available now. Price starts at $600. An extended temperature version is also available.

The CPMC-DSCC provides up to 10 Mbps for synchronous and 2 Mbps for asynchronous communication transfers. The board supports a full range of protocols including HDLC, SDLC, LAPB, LAPD, PPP, ASYNC, and BISYNC. Additionally, the module has a 17 DWord FIFO per receive channel, an 8 DWord FIFO per transmit channel, and a 128 DWord central FIFO for both transmit and receive. The Linux device driver supports both asynchronous and synchronous (SDLC) modes. The CPMC-DSCC is available now at a starting price of $800.
