Merchant Embedded Computing Market At $5.4 Billion in 2008

San Jose, CA, July 21, 2009 – Revenue in the merchant embedded computing market was $5.4 billion in 2008, an 8 percent growth from 2007, reports Electronic Trend Publications (ETP, www.electronictrendpubs.com ). Given the current economic climate, the market will decline about 7 percent in 2009. From 2010 through 2013, the industry should see annual growth rates in the 9–12 percent range.
