Power Architecture(r) Technology to be Focal Point of Inaugural Linley Tech Processor Conference

SAN JOSE, Calif., September 14, 2009 – Underscoring the value of Power Architecture® technology in next generation systems, the inaugural Linley Tech Processor Conference will feature Power Architecture products, solutions and technology presentations by Power.org, the organization that promotes and develops standards for Power Architecture technology, and the Power Architecture ecosystem. The event will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Jose, September 16-17, 2009.

“Power Architecture technology is deployed broadly across key applications and markets,” said Linley Gwennap, founder and principal analyst, The Linley Group. “At the Linley Tech Processor Conference, Power.org members will be disclosing new and innovative Power Architecture solutions to meet the challenges of next-generation networking and communications designs.”

The two-day event will provide designers with in-depth information from Power Architecture industry leaders on the newest chips and technologies used in networking and communications applications. Power.org members are also sponsoring at various levels including Premier sponsors Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (AMCC) and Freescale Semiconductor, Inc., platinum sponsor LSI Corporation, and gold sponsors IBM and Power.org will present and demonstrate new developments on Power Architecture technology, queuing and traffic management requirements in the next generation SoCs, innovative energy management strategies in embedded processor SoCs, multicore processor cache and subsystem for networking and storage, and multicore architecture for communications applications.

Attendees will have the opportunity for one-to-one discussions with experts from Power.org and its member companies during the Grand Reception, September 16th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
