Vancouver, BC – October 16, 2007 — AdvancedIO® Systems Inc. today announced the appointment of Julian Elliott to their Board of Directors. Mr. Elliott has substantial experience in building entrepreneurial organizations and commercializing technologies in emerging markets. He has served on the boards and advisory panels of several public and venture-backed companies, and has led venture capital and M&A activities with both private and Fortune 1000 companies.

According to Mohammad Darwish, President and CEO of AdvancedIO Systems, “Julian Elliott adds over 25 years of entrepreneurship and business development expertise to our organization. He is a strategic thinker with proven experience in building successful Silicon Valley technology companies and is a welcome addition to the AdvancedIO Systems Board. We have built up a good customer base since successfully introducing our first 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) connectivity solutions for the embedded market in 2005, and believe that Julian’s direction will help us rapidly expand on that success.”

Mr. Elliott is the former CEO of CoroSoft, a developer of server automation and virtualization technology which was later acquired by BMC Software. As Executive Chairman of venture-funded Nexsil Communications, a communications processor start-up, Mr. Elliott drove business planning and financing efforts, leading to acquisition. As Vice President and General Manager at Agilent Technologies, a Hewlett-Packard spin-off, he founded the company’s storage networking products business, which grew to be a highly profitable operating division of the company. Mr. Elliott holds a B.S. (Physics) degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
