The Thomas J. Valentine Memorial Fund, established in 2010, is a tribute to the memory of SOCS Tom Valentine, who served 18 years as a U.S. Navy SEAL. On February 13, 2008, Tom was killed during High Altitude-High Opening training in Casa Grande, Arizona, while preparing for his 10th deployment. During his service, Tom was awarded the Silver Star, three Bronze Stars with “V” for valor, two Joint Service Commendations Medals, three Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, three Combat Action Ribbons, and numerous other medals and awards. Tom is survived by his wife, Christina and his children, John and Meghan.

The Tomas J. Valentine Memorial Fund aims to fill the interim needs of the surviving spouses and children of our fallen warriors. This includes legal fees, household and auto repairs, and counseling assistance (outside of the military chain). To date, the organization has raised over $60,000, which has been donated to the Navy SEAL Foundation, Wounded Wear, and the family of SOC Adam Brown KIA in 2010. “We’re honored to be involved with this exceptional organization, that does so much to support our fallen warriors and their families,” said Harry Clarke, President and CEO, HandySoft. “We’re proud to help the Thomas J. Valentine Memorial Fund with their mission.”
