Phoenix International Introduces Industry’s Only 320GB/sec VME Plug-in Storage Module

Orange, CA, August 15, 2005 — Phoenix International Systems, Inc., has introduced the first plug-in VME storage module with 320 GB/sec speed – its Ultra320 SCSI VME Module. This new technology is available in a single slot model (VL1-250-SC-DS-X) and a two slot model (VL2-350-DS-X), with capacities to 600GB.

The new Ultra320 SCSI VME Module, which joins Phoenix International’s extensive line of Rugged VME products, offers data transfer rates significantly higher than any other product on the market. It provides a superior VME storage module alternative for high speed data acquisition, high definition imagery, telemetry recording and data mirroring applications.

The single slot model can be configured with up to two each 73GB, 10K RPM hard disks; the two slot model with up to two each 300GB, 10K RPM hard disks. Phoenix’s Ultra320 SCSI VME Storage Module offers the flexibility of Low Voltage Differential (LVD) technology, designed to work with state of the art hard disk drive technology, and includes the most comprehensive set of performance features for VME products in the industry, including:

• Transparency to any operating system

• Fastest Interface available for the bus

• LVD Ultra320 SCSI I/O

• 10,000 RPM Spindle Speed (optional 15K)
