Rockville, MD – June 9, 2011 — To support its growing presence in the federal arena, Micro Focus® (LSE.MCRO.L), the leading provider of enterprise application modernization, testing and management solutions, today announced its appointment of Joe Moyer to Director of Department of Defense (DoD) Efforts for the Federal Solutions Team.
Joe will be responsible for managing Micro Focus Federal’s growing DoD business, expanding the current team’s breadth and depth, and helping to serve this important customer. He has been with Micro Focus since 2004, most recently serving as Director, Federal Systems Integrators and Channels. Joe brings more than 19 years of direct Federal and commercial sales, channel sales, sales management and capture management expertise to the Micro Focus Federal team.

Before joining Micro Focus’ Federal Solutions Team, Joe served as Director of Systems Integrator and Channel Sales for Micro Focus North America, where he was instrumental in driving growth. Among other positions, Joe also served in a sales role with SupportSoft Inc, where he closed the first government agency opportunity with that company. Joe is a graduate of Ball State University. A Washington DC area native, he attended Wootton High School and lives in Olney with his wife and two children.
