M1040 is built with Intel Atom N450 1.6 GHz processor and ICH8M chipset while support DDR2-667 SO-DIMM system memory up to 2GB. Its power supply includes an internal Li-battery and a hot-swappable Li-battery, which offers operating time up to 3.5 hours. M1040 adopts 10.4” touch panel which can support resistive touch as well as electromagnetic digitizer. The seamless and chemical-resistant panel design makes it easy to be cleaned and wiped. Featuring slim appearance (1.3 kg weight and 26mm thickness) and slip-free grip design, M1040 is easy to carry around and operate anywhere.
M1040 offers two storage device options including 120GB SATA HDD and 32GB SSD, it is flexible for customers choosing according to their demands. Except standard functions and interfaces, M1040 is also integrated with many devices for data retrieving such as 2D barcode scanner, smart card reader, RFID reader and 2 CMOS cameras etc. while provide multiple connectivity including Bluetooth, Ethernet, Wi-Fi and 3.75G HSUPA. Through the plentiful mobile capabilities listed above, clinicians can easily access patient care records and medication history to shorten time of data checking.
The application of M1040 focuses on medical and healthcare markets, so the environmental factors and accident possibility are significant concern of designing. M1040’s mechanical design can resist shock and vibration while stand 3 feet transit drop. It also meets IP54 standard and complies with medical certifications including EN60601-1, EN60601-1-2 and UL60601-1, which make M1040 suitable particularly for healthcare facility requires safety and stability.
