Worlds First TWO Terrabyte 2.5

August 27, 2010–PCI-SYSTEMS Inc. , a leading supplier of conduction cooled systems, today announced a NEW 2 Terrabyte 2.5″ Conduction Cooled rugged high speed SATA Raid SSD Storage disk.

The 2.5″ Conduction Cooled high speed Raid SSD storage disk is designed to accelerate the storage system by using up to 5 internal SSD units that are controlled by a RAID high speed SATA controller.

This design approach maximizes the data throughput up to the highest possible SATA channel speed.

The disks are available as MLC or SLC and all internal mezzanine SSD boards are thermally connected to the outside aluminium wall of the SSD.

The design is made in a way that these disks meet MIL-STD 810f and are vibration tested up to 40G as well have gone through -40 to +85 deg. C temperature cycles.

The SSDs are available in 256GB, 512GB, 1024GB and 2048GB

MTBF: 1,500,000 h

Size: 2.5”

Enviromental:

Shock: 40G

Vibration: 16G
