Portable Optical Power Meter Launched by GAO

GAO Fiber Optics Inc.GAO Fiber Optics Inc.—March 12, 20090

Toronto, Canada – GAO Fiber Optics Inc. (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) presents its new generation of high-performance optical network test meter – GAO800 optical power meter. This advanced device is specially designed for optical network maintenance, equipment research and development and widely used in the test of LAN, wide-area networks, metropolitan networks, CATV nets or long-distance fiber nets.

GAO800 Optical Power Meter features fast field tests utilizing the latest laser processing technology and is used to test optical power within wavelengths in the range of 800nm to1600nm. This highly accurate test device provides functions to distinguish fiber type, to test fiber loss, to check fiber continuity and to help evaluate transmission quality of a fiber chain using laser sources. Compliant with various wavelength calibration points, it supports both linearity and non-linearity tests and displays direct and relative tests of fiber optical power.
