OpenSystems Publishing Expands Editorial Team–Reinforces Commitment to Leadership in Embedded Marketplace

FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz., September 23, 2005 – OpenSystems Publishing (OSP), LLC, today announced the addition of two new editors: Jennifer Hesse and Sharon Schnakenburg, effective immediately. Jennifer Hesse will be working with OpenSystems Publishing as associate editor for Embedded Computing Design and Industrial Embedded Systems magazines. Sharon Schnakenburg will be working as assistant editor for Military Embedded Systems, PC/104 Embedded Solutions, VMEbus Systems magazines and the technical portal DSP-FPGA.com. OSP also announced that the company has relocated to a larger building in Fountain Hills, Arizona.

OpenSystems’ continuing expansion of its editorial team reinforces its commitment to become the leader in both print and online embedded publications as well as interactive resource guides.

“Both Jennifer’s and Sharon’s editorial expertise will enhance OpenSystems’ editorial direction,” said Rosemary Kristoff, vice president of editorial, OpenSystems Publishing. “We are very pleased by the recent growth in our company and this growth in our business has required us to locate to a bigger facility that will allow us to better meet the needs of our readership,” she said.

Jennifer Hesse has edited articles and designed pages for a daily newspaper, written for a business journal, and most recently, worked as a reporter/editor for a community publishing company in Mesa, Arizona. A native of Washington state, Jennifer earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism at Whitworth College.

Sharon Schnakenburg brings a solid editing background to her new editorial position at OSP. Recently, she worked as reporter/editor for a community publishing company in Mesa, Arizona. Sharon has also worked as an online editor, freelance writer, and marketing communications specialist. Having lived in Arizona most of her life, Sharon holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Arizona State University.
