Themis Computer Announces a New Rugged Storage System for its Family of Rugged Enterprise Servers

FREMONT, California – May 4, 2010 – Themis Computer® has announced the new RES-XStore™ storage system for mission-critical applications in harsh environments. The RES-XStore supports up to twelve 2.5” SAS or SATA HDD or SSD drives, with a maximum total capacity of 12 TB and is packaged in a 1U, 17” (432mm) deep rack-mountable chassis. The system incorporates four hot pluggable canisters, each containing three drives. The RES-XStore communicates with the Host Server, via an add-in host adapter and a PCI-Express x8.

The RES-XStore includes a Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) controller that supports RAID levels from 0 to 60. Each canister is hot pluggable. The RES-XStore, as all products in the RES server family, is designed to operate in the most challenging environments.

RES-XStore Specifications and Features:
