The company offers backplanes in PICMG-based (AdvancedTCA, CompactPCI/2.16/PCIe, MicroTCA) VITAbased (VME/64x, OpenVPX), and custom architectures. Enclosures are offered in industrial and rugged designs, with Eurocard-based designs for the embedded market as well as instrument cases for industrial, medical, transportation, test/measurement, and other industries. Pixus also supplies components such as front panels, ejector handles, card guides, and more.

“Pixus Technologies leverages over 20 years of the industry’s most innovative backplane and chassis solutions,” said Justin Moll, Vice President, US Market Development at Pixus Technologies. “With Pixus’ team of specialized embedded experts, we have built upon this strong foundation to create next generation solutions at the forefront of technology.”

Pixus Technologies acquired the rights to offer core Kaparel backplane/chassis and Rittal components and enclosure designs in 2010. Kaparel was renowned for its innovation and leadership in AdvancedTCA and CompactPCI-based designs. Pixus is growing rapidly, introducing the next generation backplane and ATCA systems, and is expanding its Northern California facilities in the summer of 2012.

Pixus also has an extensive library of VME-based and cPCI-based solutions. In May 2011, Pixus Technologies became the exclusive North and South American supplier of the electronic packaging products previously offered by Kaparel Corporation and Rittal.
