May 17, 2012 – ADL Embedded Solutions Inc., a leading provider of customizable, high-performance embedded solutions for demanding thermal and rugged environments, today has announced the release of its Linux-based System Sensor Technology, ADLSST. The ADLSST, System Sensor Technology utility brings to the Linux environment the same type of CPU health monitor functions that have previously been readily available only in the Windows environment. ADLSST is an essential tool for designers and engineers that allows monitoring of all key CPU voltages and temperatures which are key to optimizing performance, while staying within the allowed CPU operating parameters. For customers doing their own thermal solution installation, a heatsink verification function is included to test for proper heatsink installation.

The ADLSST makes use of a proprietary BIOS API module which allows access to a variety of ADL Embedded Solutions board specific data including: board temperatures and voltages, serial number, firmware revision, BIOS revision, board history, UPS, and datalogging features which can help with documentation and technical support issues.

According to JC Ramirez, ADL Embedded Solutions Product Manager, “Our ADLSST utility is now functional with our ADLS15PC, ADLGS45PC, ADLD25PC, and ADLD2000PC platforms and will become a standard feature on all future platforms, thus reinforcing our continuing support for Linux for our embedded customers”.
