New York, New York, May 7, 2012 –Pentagon 2000 Software, Inc., the leading provider of software solutions for the Aerospace & Defense industry, is pleased to announce that DAC Aviation International, a Quebec, Canada based aviation services provider with operations in Africa and Asia, has gone live with Pentagon 2000SQL™.

DAC replaced a set of legacy applications that included Component Control, Navision, Quickbooks, Excel and others with the robust and powerful Pentagon 2000SQL™ system configured in a 3-Tier client-server deployment. Utilizing advanced application server capabilities enabled through the Microsoft .NET framework, the Pentagon 2000SQL™ BlueThunder™ systems architecture provides advantages in both performance and scalability.

The system implemented with DAC includes a broad set of fully-integrated functions that run accounting & finance, aviation-specific materials management, heavy maintenance, component repair & overhaul, fleet management, flight operations and aircraft recordkeeping. DAC Aviation International operates under strict requirements as an Authorized Maintenance Organization (AMO) approved by Transport Canada and they have a Technical Assistance Agreement with General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE).

The prior systems at DAC were not able to provide the breadth and depth of functionality required to meet the complex functional and regulatory needs of the business. After an extensive search of commercially available aviation software, DAC determined that Pentagon’s powerful set of features and fully-integrated design made it the most complete and cost effective platform to run the operations.

A multi-year software and support contract has been put in place as part of the overall investment, and a rapid return on investment is expected through increased asset utilization, reduced expenses and improved business controls.

Mr. Alain Desrochers, President of DAC, said, “By replacing our previous ERP system, we have gained significant new MRO, Heavy Maintenance and operational capabilities that we did not have before. We are now better able to manage our multi-national, multi-language and multi-currency operations and keep precise control of our key enterprise procedures”.

Levon Beyukian, CIO of DAC, said “In one single fully-integrated system, the Pentagon software provides functionality that would otherwise require us to take several different systems and interface them to each other. The rich functionality gives the capabilities that we need, and the compact application footprint will provide operational savings for the business”.

Emmanuel Anassis, Chairman & CEO, said “Pentagon has been a true partner with us during deployment of the system. It’s important for us that our systems provider takes the time and makes the effort to understand our business and provides consultation as part of the overall process. This system is core to the operation of our business, and we are delighted that Pentagon made every effort to ensure a smooth implementation”.

Gabriel Mofaz, Pentagon 2000 Software’s President, mentioned, “We are proud to be providing DAC with the critical software infrastructure needed to perform their unique humanitarian missions around the globe. We understand the special nature of their business and have made every effort to ensure a smooth start up. We are looking forward to see DAC grow and prosper as a business and continue with their unwavering determination to make a difference in delivering humanitarian aid by air transportation”.
