The VITA BOD just accepted the proposed ex ante intellectual property (IP) procedures, clearing the way for a member vote at the VSO meeting in January 2007.
“The ex ante procedures will now go to the VITA Standards Organization (VSO) for ballot on 17 January 2007 for adoption or rejection. If adopted by the VSO with a 2/3 majority vote, the procedures will become active on 17 January 2007, and will be submitted to the ANSI Executive Standards Council (ExSC) for review and approval,” writes Ray Alderman.
