CHARLOTTE, NC – December 13, 2012 – Curtiss-Wright Controls, Inc. today announced that it has received a contract from Verocel to provide an integrated rugged COTS processor system for use in upgrading the FAA’s Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) Safety Computer. Curtiss-Wright Controls will provide its rugged SVME-183 processor cards, and a custom FPGA board in a rugged air-cooled chassis to provide safety assured processing in a high reliability system. Shipments to Verocel began in the second quarter of 2012.

The Curtiss-Wright Controls facilities located in Ottawa, Canada and Littleton, Mass. are manufacturing the products covered by this agreement and shipping them to Verocel, in Westford, Mass.
