GDCA today announced extended availability and support for Emerson Network Power’s legacy VMEbus, Processor PMC and CompactPCI products. The two companies have a long history of collaboration, dating back to products originally built by Motorola Computer Group and Force Computers, now part of Emerson Network Power’s Embedded Computing business. Today’s announcement means that GDCA is now certified to manufacture and repair the following products: Processor PCI Mezzanine Cards (PrPMC) 2800/8000/8100, VMEbus Single Board Computers 130/140/160/170/300/1600/2400/2600, and CompactPCI processor module CC1000dm.
“Emerson Network Power has a track record for some of the longest standard product availability in the embedded industry,” said Hilo Oltman, director of product line management for Emerson Network Power’s Embedded Computing business. “We know many of our customers have long-lasting systems and it is important they receive support and retain access to original products – exactly as originally designed and built. Working with GDCA enables us to provide a solution for customers faced with the challenges of legacy product lifecycle management.”
For more than 25 years, GDCA has provided innovative solutions to support legacy systems when component authentication, extended support, and out-of-warranty repair for critical system is no longer available. The continued agreement between GDCA and Emerson Network Power ensures ongoing availability of customer support, manufacture and repair for legacy customers.
