Avionics Interface Technologies (AIT) today announced the availability of its MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, and Fibre Channel Software Development Kits (SDKs) for the QNX® Neutrino® Real-Time operating system (RTOS). The newly supported QNX® RTOS SDK releases add to AIT’s list of operating systems supported for avionics databus interfaces COTS operation.

AIT’s SDKs provide a suite of software APIs and tools supporting the development of a wide range of test, simulation, and embedded avionics applications. In addition to APIs, the SDKs include device drivers, sample applications, and documentation to provide support for development of software applications. AIT’s MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, and Fibre Channel SDKs are also available for MS Windows (XP/7), Linux, VxWorks, and LabVIEW Real-Time and support multiple programming languages.

“Supporting QNX systems for MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, and Fibre Channel interfaces is important for many customers working in real-time simulation applications,” said Troy Troshynski, AIT’s Vice President of Products and Marketing. “These customers now have the ability to integrate proven avionics databus interfaces. The QNX Operating System is a scalable, microkernel operating system that is particularly effective in hardware-in-the-loop avionics simulation applications.”

The AIT SDKs are delivered with AIT’s PCI, PCI Express, PXI, PMC, XMC, and USB avionics interface modules. They are designed for integration with AIT’s Flight Simulyzer™analyzer/simulator application as a complete test and simulation system. Databus configuration files defined using Flight Simulyzer™ can be imported an utilized via several APIs of the SDK.

The new QNX SDKs are now available for download at www.aviftech.com/download.
