Rugged Embedded System – Configure to Customize
The SIU31 is a highly configurable rugged system or subsystem ideally suited to support a multitude of Mil-Aero applications that require high-density I/O, communications, Ethernet switching and processing. Built on NAI’s Custom-On-Standard Architecture™ (COSA™), the SIU31 uses one field-proven 3U cPCI board to deliver off-the-shelf solutions that accelerate deployment of SWaP-optimized systems in air, land and sea.

Functions include: A/D, D/A, RTD, Discrete, Relay, TTL, Differential Transceiver, CANBus, ARINC 429/575, MIL-STD-1553, RS-232/422/423/485, Synchro/Resolver/LVDT/RVDT Measurement & Simulation, AC Reference, RTD, Thermocouple, Strain Gage.

Architected for Versatility
NAI’s Custom-On-Standard Architecture™ (COSA™) offers a choice of over 40 intelligent I/O, communications, Ethernet switch and SBC options. Pre-existing, fully-tested functions can be combined in an unlimited number of ways to quickly and easily meet system requirements. Individually dedicated I/O and communications processors allow mission computers to manage, monitor and control via single or dual Ethernet.

If required, the SIU31 offers a choice of Freescale™ PowerPC QorIQ P2041, Intel® Core™ i7, Intel® Atom™ or ARM Cortex™-A9, 3U cPCI processors, enabling customers to choose their ideal SBC. Each SBC is supported by NAI COSA architecture, providing configurability, versatility and field-proven reliability. Software support includes Wind River® Linux / VxWorks®, Xilinx® PetaLinux, Windows® Embedded Standard 7. I/O and communications libraries are available.
