Grosshansdorf, Germany – Spectrum is pleased to announce that it is boosting its sales and support services in the US with the opening of Spectrum Instrumentation Corporation. Spectrum, headquartered in Grosshansdorf, Germany, is a pioneer in design and manufacturing of PC based test and measurement instrumentation that is used for electronic signal capture, generation and analysis. The company specializes in high-speed digitizer and generator technology and has available over 400 modular products in the popular industry standards; PCIe, LXI and PXI.

Managing Director of Spectrum, Gisela Hassler, says: “The importance of the US market continues to grow for us, particularly with the recent release of a number of high-end digitizer products. Our US customers are generally early technology adopters and they are looking for products that give them a technical edge. Modular hardware and software products need to be backed up with good application support. One thing that really helps to facilitate this is direct access to our engineering expertise and knowledge. As such, the timing is right for us to increase our local presence.”

During the last 2 years Spectrum has released a number of high-speed PCIe digitizers like the M4i.445x series with 500 MS/s and 14 bit resolution or the M4i.223x series with up to 5 GS/s and 8 bit resolution. These products offer extremely fast streaming speeds and fit well into application areas like radar, astronomy, communications or aerospace. The digitizerNETBOX is a new type of product that is LXI/Ethernet based and offers 2 to 16 high-resolution channels with sampling speed up to 500 MS/s. The digitizerNETBOX is well suited to applications like automotive and mobile data acquisition, big physics experiments and other more general purpose instrumentation tasks. The complete data acquisition solution can be connected directly to a Laptop or desktop PC or anywhere in a company LAN.

The new US office provides local sales and technical support and is equipped with demonstration equipment so that customers can test the instruments with their signals. The office is located at 6 Barbara Drive, 10990 Warwick, NY, and can be reached by phone +1 (845) 988 0955, fax +1 (845) 503 2240 or email [email protected].
