The Pixus VPX4V180 chassis family features a modular design and various options for adapting for multiple applications. The base chassis is well suited for 3-18 medium powered OpenVPX boards. The unit is very cost-effective and efficient for cooling up to 85W/slot average. For higher power applications, larger bottom-to-top cooling fans can be used as well as air baffles, etc. For front-to-rear cooling, a 5U chassis is available. The cost-effective VPX chassis can be utilized in rackmount Mil/Aero, Test & Measurement, Physics, and other markets.

The 4U OpenVPX chassis platform from Pixus includes EMC options with integrated components and supplemental gasketing. An integrated fan controller is a standard option as well as PSUs designed to VITA 62. Pixus has several standard 3U backplane options and a highly competitive customization capability. Rear I/O is standard in the VPX4V180.

Pixus offers a full line of OpenVPX products including chassis platforms, ejector handles & panels, subcomponents, and up to integrated systems. Pixus has multiple choices for chassis, backplane and modules depending on the ruggedization requirements and application specifics. The company is able to configure the best system assembly that meet the customer’s needs and budget constraints.
