HARRISBURG, Pa. – August 16, 2016 –TE Connectivity Ltd. (TE) (NYSE: TEL), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, recently released its new KILOVAC CAP120 high-voltage contactors. Used in military ground, military and commercial aerospace, and marine applications, this single pole, hermetically sealed 150 amp DC contactor provides reliability in harsh environments for long-lasting systems.

Energy storage and power distribution systems require reduced-sized contactors able to withstand high currents in a range of applications. The CAP120 contactor’s lightweight design can withstand high break levels —1000 A at 400 VDC and 600 A at 600 VDC— for flexibility and reliability in power and battery systems. The contactor allows versatile installation through bidirectional load switching, and the main contacts are not polarity sensitive.

“Our new CAP120 contactor offers extremely high performance in terms of its size and weight and it’s excellent for high current systems,” said Earle Alldredge, product manager, Aerospace, Defense and Marine at TE. “Its efficient design makes the CAP120 a reliable solution for power, energy and battery systems.”

For more information on TE’s KILOVAC CAP120 contactors, contact the Product Information Center at 1-800-522-6752 or visit the CAP120 product page.
