Portable and Rugged RFID Reader Mobile Computer Released by GAO

Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) is releasing the rugged handheld Jett RFID reader/mobile computer (GAO243004) operating under the powerful Microsoft® Windows® CE .NET 4.2 OS. The Jett RFID reader is an ideal solution for any number of vertical markets, such as asset tracking and inventory management, event attendance or personnel access control and fleet maintenance. It is commonly used anywhere from the warehouse to the hospital floor.

Beyond other RFID tag reader, the Jett reads and writes tag IDs and data blocks, and protects the data on compatible transponders for privacy and security purposes by using advanced encryption and authentication techniques.

The Jett RFID reader/mobile computer boasts two unique and innovative features which offer great benefits to users: its exceptional antenna and a brilliant “Software Defined Radio” (SDR) architecture. Its exceptional antenna allows for the reading of tags in any orientation overcoming problem associated with tag orientation. As well, the brilliant hardware/software scheme future-proofs the RFID reader allowing support for future tags and protocols via a software upgrade while maintain existing hardware.

In addition, handheld Jett RFID reader/mobile computer is fully customized and has a fully accessible Compact Flash (CF) slot for wide variety of CF-enabled peripheral devices.
