Waterloo, Canada, April 3, 2007 – RoweBots Research Inc. a supplier of software tools and embedded signal processing consulting, today announced the launch of iZoom! The iZoom! software development platform provides an integrated editor, compiler, builder, debugger, reference books and support for hosted development on Windows, Linux and Solaris. iZoom! offers the ability to save substantial time in all embedded development projects with negligible investment.

iZoom! is ideally suited to host based algorithm development and testing for embedded systems. It is intended for everyone from beginning C/C++ programmers to the most advanced users interested in the ultimate optimization techniques. Users benefit from integrated, tested and supported tools complete with appropriate references and extensions to embedded signal processing solutions.

Tooling costs for an entire team can be substantial. Dedicated embedded compilers and debug solutions complete with simulators for the target system cost thousands each. Often the team will share a few copies creating bottlenecks and scheduling problems during development. iZoom! offers the ability to put a development environment on everyone’s desktop at very low cost, eliminating bottlenecks and reducing time to market.

Replacement of embedded tools with host based solutions can be expensive too – hundreds of dollars per user is common. iZoom! is a very low cost very high quality environment complete with appropriate optimization material and training options. It is an easily affordable component for the entire team.

iZoom! is ideal for small signal processing system development by savvy engineers who need stringent control over their environment and revel in simplicity. It is intended for use in OEM environments where time to market savings are essential.

With the explosion of ubiquitous computing and demands to put more intelligence in each product, the time has come for products like iZoom! which offers software developers the ability to reduce their time to market and tooling costs. Kim Rowe, a founder of RoweBots said; “putting the iZoom! IDE on everyone’s desk can save time and eliminate scheduling problems for anyone programming in C/C++ .”
