The E1/Datacom tester performs channel testing, alarm analysis, signal analysis and fault location. This instrument provides various protocol converters with one-way and bidirectional bit-error-rate (BER) test functions. The easy-to-use tester works continuously for up to six hours on a single charge and can be charged with an automobile battery adapter. In addition, the handheld tester allows the test results to be uploaded, saved and printed via Test Manager Software. All of these capabilities make the E1/BER tester ideally suitable for field use.
