Webcast: Designing for High-Performance PCI Express to PCI/X Bridging

FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz., June 23, 2008 — OpenSystems Publishing (OSP), LLC today announced its upcoming E-cast on Designing for High-Performance PCI Express to PCI/X Bridging. Tundra Semiconductor will discuss optimizing applications using PCI Express bridges. Applications covered will include video security, embedded computing, PC add-in cards, storage adapters, and riser cards. Additionally, Tundra Semiconductor will cover the challenges that designers need to be aware of when bridging between PCI Express and PCI/X. These challenges include performance, power consumption, design complexity, cost, and development risk. Lastly, examples of how to address these challenges with Tundras PCI Express bridges will be provided.

Tundra Semiconductor will provide a practical discussion covering performance tuning will be given demonstrating how features such as short-term caching work, how to implement them and the results they can deliver in different systems.
