He also authored major portions of the Ada 95 International Standard. Mr. Duff has served as co-chair for the Ada Rapporteur Group, which is responsible for evaluating comments concerning the ISO standard for Ada.

“Bob Duff is well respected by the Ada community both as an authority and dedicated proponent of the Ada programming language, so he and AdaCore are an ideal match,” said Robert Dewar, President of AdaCore. “Having worked closely with Bob on the Ada 95 revision, we know he will be an asset to us as we continue to improve and streamline our Ada development solutions.”

Most recently, Mr. Duff served as Vice President of Engineering for SofCheck, Inc., where he was responsible for designing and implementing a static analysis tool to detect errors in Ada and Java programs. He has also served as Chief Scientist, Language Tools, at Intermetrics, Inc.; President and Consultant for Oak Tree Software, Inc.; Director of Engineering for Software Leverage, Inc.; and as a system software designer for AAI Corporation. Robert Duff holds a B.S. in applied mathematics from Carnegie-Mellon University.
