The Global Awards for Excellence in BPM & Workflow, considered the most prestigious in the industry, are now in their 18th year. The awards are given to organizations that have demonstrably excelled in implementing innovative business process solutions to meet strategic business objectives.

This successful program was developed in response to NSWG4’s need to improve efficiency, transparency, and reliability of their processing system to ensure their ability to complete missions with fewer available assets. The solution expertly weaves Lean Six Sigma and dynamic BPM into a system called SWIFT – which successfully met this challenge, and exceeded expectations. Within a 6 month time-frame, SWIFT was up and running, and NSWG4 had an automated workflow solution in place that reduced procurement lead time, improved accuracy, visibility, and all around satisfaction and improved performance of the Government Purchase Card Program (GPCP) process. Built upon BizFlow, HandySoft’s automated business process workflow software application, and guided by input and active participation from the SWIFT team and consultants RF Logistics, this solution provides visibility into the process, standardization, and forcing function for over 6,000 purchases and $5.2 million spent annually.

“We′e honored that NSWG4’s Government Purchase Card Program was chosen as a finalist for this prestigious award,” said Harry Clarke, President and CEO, HandySoft. “It″ gratifying when a program so ably supports the customer″ mission – and gets recognized in a wider circle for the value it delivers.”

As a finalist, the program will receive additional recognition by having its case study published in the annual edition of BPM Excellence in Practice by Future Strategies Inc. Regional gold and silver winners will be announced at a Virtual Online Ceremony in mid-December.
