Keynote Speech and Banquet
The keynote speech for this year’s GUC, to be given by Ian Alston of Raytheon UK, is entitled “The Role of Modelling in Systems Engineering”. The banquet dinner will be held on the second night of the conference. The banquet speech, to be given by Dr. Win Smith of Raytheon USA, is entitled “Spectral Processing, Rainbows to Radars”.
Demonstration Sessions
Introduction To Gedae
This session will be a classroom formatted interactive discussion and demonstration of Gedae and its features. The session will last approximately 2 hours. Each student will complete a hands-on Gedae Tutorial.
Features of Gedae
This session will bring focus on the theoretical foundation of Gedae, report on the current state relative to that foundation and project the future developments. The session will cover the basics of flow graph design, as well as recent advancements in the language
Programming Heterogeneous Architectures with Gedae
This session will introduce attendees to Gedaes new single sample language, Gedae-RTL, and demonstrate how the language can be used to map application partitions to FPGAs.
Demonstration Sessions
Rapid Engineering Development – Issues Associated with Process Change
This session will explore the evolution of the engineering process to meet modern program requirements and the use of Gedae in that evolution.
Programming Hardware – Portibility and Life Cycle Issues
This panel session will explore the issues of hardware architectures like FPGAs, DSPs and PIMs.
