April 12, 2007 – Edison, New Jersey and Toulon, France – Thales, a leading provider of VMEbus and CompactPCI single-board computer (SBC) products and systems, announced today the opening of its new office in Beijing, People’s Republic of China. The opening of the office allows Thales Computers to expand its investments in the fast growing Asian market.

The new Thales Computers office is located in the Tianzhu airport industrial zone in Beijing, within a facility that is currently utilized by several Thales companies to provide services and support for its customers of Thales’ in computers, avionics and aerospace-related programs. The office is tasked with developing new business opportunities for Thales Computers’ products in China, while offering a local point of contact and providing the closest and best commercial, technical and logistics support to existing partners and customers.
