Chatsworth, CA, February 2007 – Aitech Defense Systems, Inc., the world’s first and largest independent manufacturer of open architecture board and subsystem level products for harsh environment defense, aerospace and astronautics applications, has just released a new 2006-2007 product catalog detailing the company’s extensive line of rugged computing solutions. Several new products are highlighted including the new C102 dual processor PowerPC-based SBC and M222 high density, mass memory PMC.

In addition to a brief history of the company, the catalog provides easy reference guides including a chart that compares critical features of Aitech’s single board computers with one another, so users can determine the best board suited for specific applications. A list of software products available for many of Aitech’s boards, including I/O, frame grabber and graphics/video PMC boards, is also included in the catalog. A ruggedization chart provides detailed information on the performance characteristics of different series of boards, based on the level of ruggedization employed.
