FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz., October 30, 2012 — OpenSystems Media (OSM), LLC, a leading provider of news and content covering the embedded technology industry, announced it has launched EDA Digest on today at ARM TechCon 2012. The new publication on Electronic Design Automation (EDA) technology and markets will be headed by OSM industry expert Mike Demler, who brings more than 30 years of IC design, software tools, and semiconductor industry experience to the Editorial Director position.
Expanding coverage of the EDA industry, EDA Digest (www.edadigest.com) will provide an annual Resource Guide in print and digital formats, a series of email newsletters, and a social media component to keep readers regularly updated with original content, news, and insight into industry trends. The inaugural issue also includes a gatefold cover that outlines both the EDA ecosystem and the publication’s coverage areas, and includes the super groups of Digital Design and Verification, Custom/Analog Design and Verification, DFM and Physical Verification, Semiconductor IP, Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), TCAD, and DFT Tools.

The first issue, which focuses on the state of innovation in EDA, includes selections for 2012’s Top Innovators in EDA, interviews with executives from Cadence Design Systems, Mentor Graphics, and Synopsys, as well as an industry perspective from EDA Consortium Chairman Kathryn Kranen. In addition to its availability at ARM TechCon, EDA Digest will be distributed digitally and in print to a readership of more than 24,000.
