Carlo Gavazzi Computing SolutionsCarlo Gavazzi Computing Solutions—October 20, 20050

BROCKTON, MA, October 20, 2005 – Carlo Gavazzi Computing Solutions is pleased to announce that Maurice Gilkey has joined the company as a Regional Sales Manager in Illinois, responsible for working with manufacturer’s representatives to achieve sales goals in the Midwest.

Mr. Gilkey comes to Carlo Gavazzi from Avocent, a manufacturer of KVM switches and Datacenter solutions in Chicago, IL. At Avocent Mr. Gilkey served as a District Sales Manager and oversaw key accounts, such as General Electric, JP Morgan Chase, and Wells Fargo. Prior to joining Avocent, Mr. Gilkey was a Regional Sales Manager at Madge Networks in Chicago, a developer of 802.x, switching technology, NIC cards, Bluetooth, and routers. Mr. Gilkey also managed business development and reseller sales efforts while at Digital/Compaq from 1997 to 1999.

“Maurice is a great addition to the team,” says Chuck Barresi, VP of Sales at Carlo Gavazzi. “While he represents all of Carlo Gavazzi’s product lines, Maurice’s background will greatly benefit the Aurora brand Serial I/O and Fabric and Connectivity product lines.”

“I look forward to working with the manufacturer’s representatives to sell Carlo Gavazzi in the Midwest,” says Mr. Gilkey. “By working together we can successfully meet and exceed the sales goals in this untapped region.”
