LITTLETON, MA – September 24, 2010 — Curtiss-Wright Controls Electronic Systems (CWCEL), a business group of Curtiss-Wright Controls and a leading designer and manufacturer of rugged deployed subsystems for the aerospace and defense market, has announced the availability of the newest addition to its Hybricon® family of rugged chassis. The RME13 is a 16-slot OpenVPX™/VITA 65 rackmount enclosure. Designed for OpenVPX development applications, the RME13 meets stringent ANSI/VITA 65 power and cooling requirements for 6U 150 W OpenVPX modules.

Measuring 18.96″ (W) x 22.69″ (H) x 19.88″ (D), the RME13 chassis is constructed of aluminum. This enclosure is designed for an operating temperature range of 0°C to 55°C.
