SUNNYVALE, Calif. – May 10, 2010 – PLX Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLXT), a leading global supplier of silicon and software interconnect solutions for the enterprise and consumer markets, today announced it will be presenting at two upcoming conferences focusing on the applications of high-speed interconnect technologies in emerging consumer and industrial markets. Alex Chow and Miguel Rodriguez, PLX® senior product marketing engineers, will present at the upcoming Netbook Summit and PCI-SIG Developers Conference, respectively, sharing their expertise on two of the industry’s most widely deployed high-speed interconnect technologies: USB and PCI Express® (PCIe®).

Chow will present Optimizing Netbook Connectivity Features through USB, May 24, 3:10 p.m., in a session that will explain how existing USB technology is providing a new level of performance and features that optimize connectivity on the netbook platform. Rodriguez will deliver his presentation titled The Case for PCI Express as a Backplane Interconnect, June 23, 3:30 p.m., which will address how PCIe has evolved from a relatively low-level interconnect technology to one that permeates most market segments — from computing to industrial backplanes.

“Being the market and technology leader in high-performance PCI Express and USB brings with it the responsibility of illuminating those technologies’ roles in new and emerging applications,” said David Raun, PLX vice president of marketing and business development.” Alex and Miguel will be sharing their considerable expertise in these widely used technologies with an audience hungry for knowledge of new, real-life applications of USB and PCI Express.”

Expertise Drawn from Broad Product Portfolio

PLX’s expertise in USB and PCIe is reflected in the company’s broad portfolio of products used worldwide in virtually all industry segments. The company’s USB controllers are used broadly in printers, portable media players, GPS systems, TV tuners, computers (laptops, notebooks and netbooks), WLAN devices, mobile phones, digital cameras, and camcorders. PLX’s ExpressLane™ family of PCIe devices features 35 high-performance, multipurpose switches with unmatched levels of flexibility and configurability, along with the industry’s lowest latency and power, which are designed into data centers and other I/O- and storage-intensive applications.
