Harris Corporation Names Mike Deloney Vice President and General Manager of Department of Defense Programs for its IT Services Business

MELBOURNE, Fla. and WASHINGTON, Sept. 7 — Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS), an international communications and information technology company, has named Mike Deloney vice president and general manager of Department of Defense (DoD) Programs for its IT services business, reporting to John Heller, president, Harris IT Services. Deloney has served as vice president of Harris IT Services’ Air Force Programs since joining the company in 2009. He succeeds John Heller, who was named president of Harris IT Services earlier this month.

In his new role, Deloney will be responsible for the entire DoD business area (U.S. Air Force, Army and Navy), including customer interface, program execution and business development. He will develop strategies and solutions to deliver innovative mission-critical solutions to the global customer base and to achieve the business’ growth objectives.

Deloney brings more than 30 years experience both in industry and the U.S. Air Force (USAF), including president of Global Strategies Group ( North America), Inc.; vice president of Federal Government Group at Unisys; executive positions in business development/program roles with Computer Sciences Corporation and CACI; commander and operations officer of three USAF F-15 Fighter Squadrons; wing commander; senior level positions in the Joint arena of the DoD; and director of Operational Training, headquarters USAF at the Pentagon.

Deloney earned a master of business administration from Golden Gate University. He holds a bachelor of science from the USAF Academy. He is a graduate of the USAF test pilot school, and USAF fighter weapons instructor school.

“Mike is an entrepreneurial and growth-oriented leader with significant industry experience, deep customer intimacy, and a sound understanding of our operations,” said Heller. “Under his leadership, I am confident that we will continue to deliver the IT solutions, innovation and optimal performance our customers have come to rely upon to meet their mission-critical objectives.”
