Adelberg, Germany – July 24, 2006 – ERNI, a DIN connector pioneer, has now compiled a new English-language catalog for its comprehensive portfolio of DIN 41612/IEC 606032 connectors. In more than 200 pages, ERNI presents an extensive offering of connector products developed for the 19-inch rack system. Many different model types and termination options (press-fit, dip soldering, hand soldering, wire wrap, crimp, and THR) are available to cover a broad spectrum of applications.
ERNI offers DIN connectors with high pin counts for lower voltages, and with lower contact density for high voltages. The portfolio includes a total of 13 connector sizes. These basic model sizes can be ordered in 1/2- and 1/3-versions with fewer contacts. Additionally, there are various coding systems available.
ERNI offers these DIN-compliant connectors with two to five rows of contacts, and with 16 to 160 pins. The company also offers early-mate/late-break contacts upon request. The portfolio is complete with DIN connectors having high-voltage contacts for power supplies, and versions with insulation displacement (IDC) termination for connecting ribbon cables or discrete wires.
