AIM-USA, manufacturer of Avionics Test & Simulation Products for Fibre Channel, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC429, and AFDX products has added a CANbus Interface Product specifically designed for ARINC-825 applications. The AMC825 is a PMC module that supports up to 4 CANbus ports.

The AMC825 can work as either a CAN node for testing and simulating or in ‘listening only’ mode for the monitoring and recording of Avionics CANbus applications. The four concurrently running CANbus ports are electrically isolated. The AMC825 also includes an IRIG-B time decoder which allows users to accurately synchronize single or multiple modules to a common time source.

The AMC825 modules are supplied with an Application Programming Interface (API), and Windows, Linux, and VxWorks Driver Software.

The AIM-USA AMC825 according to Troy Troshynski, AIM-USA’s Vice President of Software, “defines an ARINC-825 interface for companies developing and testing aircraft/platforms.” this product he said, when coupled with PBA.pro enables our customers to combine AFDX, Ethernet, and CANbus in a complete test and analysis system.

AIM-USA was incorporated in October 2000, and is a U.S. employee owned company, based in Omaha, Nebraska.
