AC wide input 660W power supply

Sunnyvale, CA— November 11, 2013 —PCI-SYSTEMS Inc. , a leading supplier of conduction cooled systems, today announced a new, Vita 62 , 3U wide 85 – 265V AC input range Power Supply, enabling accelerated development of rugged conduction cooled embedded systems.

The Rugged 3U VPX Power Supplies works with 85 – 265V AC input input voltage and isolates the input voltage ground from the output voltage ground. The isolated conduction cooled 3U wide input range Power supply can provide up to 660 watts, 700W peak.

 High efficiency (~93%) over world-wide AC mains

 Innovative 4 side thermal connection to chassis

 85 – 264 VAC input range, 47-63 Hz

 Output voltages of +/-12V, +5V and +3.3V as well as +/- 12V aux and 3.3V aux are standard.

 Power factor correction

 Vita 46 and 48 Ready

 Microprocessor based design, voltage setpoints, drift suppression and many other features

 Works perfect with UPS and input hold time add-on cards based on Vita 62.1

Designed for high noise suppression, the power supply active input filtering supports the PICMG® 3.0 specifications for filtering system boards to EN55022 Class B limits.

In comparison to passive solutions, the use of active filtering reduces the volume of the common-mode choke, providing a low profile, surface mount device. Smaller size saves valuable board real estate and the reduced height enhances airflow in blade applications.

The power supply is designed to meet the intent of the following environmental specifications: (designed to meet intent of MIL-STD 810F)

> Operating Temperature: -40 to +85 °C at the board rail.

> Humidity: 0 to 95% Humidity / Non-condensing

> Shock: 40G / 11mS

> Vibration: 14Grms / 20-2000Hz

> EMC: Designed to meet intent of MIL-STD 461D (RE, RS, CE, CS)

> Conformal coating applied, parts are undercoated with epoxy.

> MIL-STD-1275B Military Vehicles 28DC

> MIL-STD-461E EMI, Ground CS101 and CE102

> Integrated EMI Filter per MIL-STD-461

> Transient Protection per MIL-STD-704A through E

> MIL-STD-1275AT w/ Reverse Polarity protection

PCI-SYSTEMS Inc. develops and manufactures intelligent COTS and CUSTOM VPX Systems, power supplies, CPU and peripheral boards as well as advanced mechanical design solutions in the US and Germany for many platforms that provide precision control of robotic and automated equipment in the semiconductor, medical and industrial equipment markets as well as for ruggedized embedded OEM applications in airborne and defense applications.
