Today’s commercial processors from Intel, AMD, and Freescale bring unprecedented levels of performance to embedded computing solutions based on standards from VITA, PICMG, and other standards organizations. They are the enabling technology for radar, sonar, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), avionics, vetronics, and other applications in military electronic systems. However, while generating all this performance and high-speed processing they also generate tremendous amounts of heat, which gets tougher to get rid of the smaller the form factor. This e-cast of industry experts will discuss innovative ways to cool embedded computing systems based on VITA and PICMG standards in multiple form factors.
