Jon S. Ogg Appointed to Board of Directors of DSPCon

BRIDGEWATER, NJ, December 2, 2008 – DSPCon, Inc., a leading, global supplier of data acquisition, analysis, archiving and recording solutions for high-value military, aerospace and rotating machinery applications, today announced that Jon S. Ogg, director of engineering and technical management, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, has been appointed to DSPCon’s board of directors. Mr. Ogg brings a wealth of diversified aeronautical and astronautical engineering experience to the Board, which includes serving as chief engineer for the F-22 program for nearly a decade.

Commenting on the appointment, DSPCon president and chief executive officer Al Brower said, “We are pleased and proud to welcome Jon to our Board of Directors. His extensive engineering experience along with his keen business insight will be invaluable assets as we continue to execute on our “smart-growth” strategy worldwide.”

A recognized industry authority on the structural and operational integrity of propulsion and power systems, Mr. Ogg has over 33 years of engineering and management experience with the federal civil service. He currently serves as director of engineering and technical management, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio where he is also a member of the Senior Executive Service. In his current capacity, Mr. Ogg is responsible for overarching systems engineering and technical management policy and practices focused on achieving fleet operational safety, suitability and effectiveness. He also directs the development of new initiatives designed to improve the recruitment and career management of military and civilian scientists and engineers. Before assuming his current position, Mr. Ogg was the chief information officer (CIO) and director of communications, Headquarters AFMC, where he was the command’s primary catalyst for e-business transformation that focused on eliminating business processes redundancies. Prior to that, he served in a number of engineering capacities focused on weapon system programs including a ten-year stint as chief engineer for the F-22 program.

A recipient of numerous industry awards and honors, Mr. Ogg holds a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering, a master’s degree in aeromechanical engineering, and has completed Ph.D. coursework from the Ohio State University. He also has received a master’s degree in business management from the MIT Sloan School of Management under the Sloan Fellows Program.
